Description

Red Velvet Trifle Cups are a decadent and visually stunning dessert made with rich layers of moist red velvet cake, creamy vanilla pudding, and fluffy whipped cream. Perfect for parties, holidays, or any special occasion, these individual servings are as delicious as they are beautiful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix (plus ingredients as per package instructions)
  • 1 box Instant Vanilla Pudding (3.4 oz)
  • 2 cups Cold Milk
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 16 oz Cool Whip, divided

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red velvet cake according to the package instructions in a 9×13-inch pan and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Cut the cooled cake into 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk. Whisk for about 2 minutes until thickened, then set aside.
  4. Beat the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Gradually add powdered sugar to the cream cheese, mixing on low speed until smooth.
  6. Add the prepared vanilla pudding to the cream cheese mixture and stir gently to combine.
  7. Fold in the Cool Whip until fully incorporated into the mixture.
  8. Assemble the trifle cups by layering cake cubes, followed by the pudding mixture. Repeat until the cups are filled, finishing with a layer of the pudding mixture on top.
  9. Top each cup with remaining Cool Whip and reserved cake crumbs.
  10. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  • For a more precise assembly, use a piping bag to dispense the pudding mixture into the cups.
  • Refrigerate the trifle cups in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days. Add the whipped topping just before serving.
