Description

This Halloween Buffalo Chicken Dip is a festive twist on the classic buffalo chicken dip. With creamy cream cheese, spicy buffalo sauce, and mozzarella cheese ghosts, it’s a fun and flavorful appetizer perfect for Halloween parties. The dip is simple to prepare and perfect for sharing with friends and family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, shredded
  • 12 cups buffalo sauce
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 lb mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Writing gel (for ghost eyes)
  • Ghost-shaped cookie cutter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine shredded chicken and buffalo sauce in a large plastic bag or bowl until the chicken is coated.
  3. Spread softened cream cheese in an even layer at the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Evenly layer the buffalo chicken mixture over the cream cheese.
  5. Drizzle ranch dressing over the buffalo chicken layer.
  6. Use a ghost-shaped cookie cutter to cut mozzarella slices into ghost shapes and arrange them on top of the chicken.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and the dip is heated through.
  8. Use writing gel to draw eyes on each ghost.
  9. Serve warm with tortilla chips, bread, or veggies.

Notes

  • For a milder version, substitute buffalo sauce with BBQ sauce.
  • You can prepare the dip ahead of time by assembling it and refrigerating it until ready to bake.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Reheat the dip in the oven or microwave before serving.
  • Use fresh mozzarella for a more abstract ghost design if desired.
