Description

Chicken Alfredo Air Fryer Calzones combine crispy, golden dough with creamy Alfredo sauce, shredded rotisserie chicken, and melted mozzarella. These calzones are easy to prepare, quick to cook, and incredibly satisfying. Perfect for a family meal or a fun appetizer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. premade pizza dough
  • 2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 5 tablespoons butter (for sauce)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter (for brushing)
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, minced
  • Marinara sauce (optional, for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Separate the pizza dough into 4-ounce balls. Work the dough into 6-inch circles by hand.
  2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and seasonings, bring to a simmer, and then stir in parmesan cheese until smooth and thickened.
  3. Spoon a tablespoon of Alfredo sauce onto the center of each dough circle, leaving the edges free of sauce. Add chicken and mozzarella on top.
  4. Fold the dough in half over the fillings, creating a half-circle. Pinch the edges together to seal and fold the edges back for a secure closure.
  5. Brush the calzones with melted butter, then air fry at 375°F for 8 minutes. Apply more butter halfway through cooking. Once golden, remove from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free pizza dough.
  • You can make the Alfredo sauce ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary for the best results.
  • If you prefer a spicier calzone, add red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce or drizzle with hot sauce before serving.
